2024 WDAGA High Point Live (In-Person) Show Awards Program
WDAGA is offering the opportunity to win year-end prizes in our 2024 High Point Live (In-Person) Show Awards Program. The rules have changed from last year, so be sure you familiarize yourself with them. You may sign up and pay via PayPal using the form below.
Eligibility
The rider must be a WDAA and a WDAGA member to be eligible. Judges must be an “L” or “S” judge, or a USEF licensed WD “r” or “R” judge.
- All awards will be based on a Horse/Rider combination meeting eligibility requirements.
(A) Horse/Rider Combination for levels Intro-Level 1 combination must receive at least 8 WDAA scores by a least 2 different judges.
(B) Horse/Rider Combination for Level 2-Level 5 combination must receive at least 5 scores from two different judges.
(C) To be eligible for Freestyle/Costume, you need a minimum of 1 score.
(D) A Horse/Rider combination can choose from two consecutive levels per show season. For example, you can choose Intro and Basic but not Intro and Level 1.
2. Awards will be presented in the following categories: Open, Adult Amateur, and Junior/Youth rider. Each score can only be used one time. A score cannot be used for multiple categories. For example, if you show at a show that does not separate categories and you have signed up for Amateur and Open year-end awards, you will need to declare which category you want that score to go towards. Each test score can only be used one time. It cannot be used in multiple categories.
3. Western Dressage awards are based on percentage scores and not placings in class. Award results will be tabulated by taking the average of the top 8 scores for the year, Intro through Level 1 and the average top 5 scores for the year for Level 2 through Level 5.
4. The awards year runs from December 1st, 2023 to November 30th, 2024. You can enter the High Point Live (In Person) Program anytime prior to November 30th, 2024, BUT ONLY TESTS RIDDEN AFTER YOU REGISTER AND PAY WILL COUNT TOWARD YEAR END CALCULATIONS.
(A) EXCEPTION: You can submit scores earned in qualifying shows from December 2023 as long as you were a WDAGA member in good standing at that time.
5. Participants will turn in their top 8 scores from at least 2 different judges for Intro thru Level 1 OR their top 5 scores from at least 2 different judges for Level 2 thru Level 5 AFTER THEIR FINAL SHOW OF THE 2024 HIGH POINT AWARDS YEAR but prior to November 15, 2024. If you have a show after that deadline, please let the High Point Chairperson know.
(A) Each submission must include the following information: name and date of show, judge’s signature, and the score (the lower half of the backside of your test should contain all this information). Please send this information to the WDAGA High Point Chairperson Zoey Lane via email to: Zoeylane1023@gmail.com
(B) All scores must be turned in by November 15th, 2024 to count toward our year-end awards banquet held in January.
6. All eligible shows will be held in Georgia and or Tri-State Exhibition Center in McDonald, Tennessee.
Please note that you must register and pay separately for the WDAGA High Point Virtual Show Awards Program.
